To promote The Bob Ross Channel on social for Samsung TV Plus, we thought “What would Bob do?”
Since his whole shtick was the joy of painting, we figured he’d probably want people to paint—and share their work with the world.
Which is exactly what we did—our audience painted happy trees on Instagram, and we brought them to life.

On Instagram Stories, we asked our followers to paint happy trees using our prompt image. We then asked them to tag us with their finished work.
The people responded, sending in hundreds of submissions.
Then we took our favorite pieces of art, and brought them to life.
