To build buzz for a fast-rising, independently financed slime brand, I was tapped for “category-defining” copy. The objective: create head-turning headlines and brand messaging with the right balance of weird, in-your-face, and ironically authoritarian.
Using the world’s collective obsession with semi-solid, goo-based collectibles as inspiration, I dug deep into what makes slime more than just a trend—it’s a movement. Slime isn’t just for play; it’s about identity. Devotion. It’s about declaring one’s allegiance to the squish.
The result? A suite of messaging that splits the difference between cult propaganda and snack-time rallying cry. This included chest-beating taglines and headlines elevated to peak absurdity by the founder’s doctrinaire vision and willingness to go all-in on slime superiority.
